Undy Athletic 2-3 Port Talbot: Blues go five games unbeaten

Port Talbot Town’s good run of form in Welsh League Division One continued on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 win at Undy Athletic.

Two goals from Luke Bowen and another from Jack Hurley secured a solid victory that has landed the Blues a fifth place spot in the league table.

A similar squad to the strong one fielded against Monmouth Town last week started the affair. Returning talisman Jonathan Hood made his return to Welsh pyramid football in the second-half.

The home side broke the deadlock to begin with, until a goal from Jack Hurley followed by another from Luke Bowen saw the scoreline overturned in the Blues’ favour.

A second goal from Bowen gave the visitors a 3-1 lead after the break. Undy nabbed one back in the later stages of the game to make it 3-2 at full-time.

The Blues return to Welsh Cup action on Saturday afternoon when they visit Division Two club Aberbargoed Buds. Kick off for that one is 2.30pm.
