Under-16 girls enjoy positive start to the season

Port Talbot Town Girls under-16s have enjoyed a good start to their season under new coach Corey Glover. The girls have won both of their opening fixtures so far, picking up a 5-1 win over Caerphilly followed by a 6-1 victory at Porth.

“What a performance from the girls, two win out of two and a 100% record. It’s been a very positive start to the season.” Under-16s manager Corey told the official Port Talbot Town website.

The Girls’ latest victory over Porth saw a barrage of goals from Jessica Denscombe, Tamzin Jenkins, Lara Curtis, Carys Woodward and Megan Christopher.

“We came into the game full of confidence and belief after winning our first game, I wanted to continue that winning feeling with another solid win and we did just that.”
