Staffing Positions Available on PTTFC Team

Two long term opportunities are now available for anyone who wants to join the technical staffing structure at Port Talbot Town FC.

The two roles available are:

Development Squad Coach

The Development Squad Coach will lead the training program and matches. The squad aims to provide players with suitable experiences and individual conditioning to enhance opportunities to progress to 1st Team football at the club as part of a clear player pathway that is currently being re-developed. 

Training sessions will be delivered on Thursdays and games will be scheduled primarily on Saturdays in the FAW Reserve League South West. Interaction with 1st Team staff will be an important function of the role. The Development Squad Coach will communicate weekly with the 1st Team Manager to discuss the development of individual players and agree on which individuals will train with the 1st Team each week. This will ensure progression opportunities are clear to players. Discussions with the 1st Team Manager will also ensure clarity for match minutes which are required by 1st Team players in Development Squad fixtures when requested by the 1st Team Manager.

The successful applicant would be qualified to a minimum of FAW C Certificate (Level 2) and clearly able to evidence commitment to learning. Mentoring by UEFA A and B licensed staff at the club will be provided for the successful applicant.

1st Team Equipment Officer

The 1st Team Equipment Officer will ensure that all equipment and kit is maintained to expected standards. They will be made available promptly for the 1st Team training program and matches in the JD Cymru South. 

Training sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during 1 game week and Tuesdays only during 2 game weeks. Matches are primarily played on Fridays or Saturdays during a 1 game week, during a 2 game week. Matches are primarily played on Wednesday and 1 on Friday or Saturday.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a capacity to commit time to the training and match schedule as well as be able to work with minimal supervision to ensure that the training and match-day requirements of the 1st Team are consistently provided.
