Cortez Belle’s Blues regained their 7th place in the Division One rankings on Saturday afternoon with a convincing 2-0 win over bottom-of-the-league Ton Pentre at Victoria Road Stadium.
Patrick Finneral came close to putting the Blues in front on 6 minutes, with a half volley going just wide of the target.
Ton Pentre almost made it 1-0 on the half hour mark when a Jason Davies cross into the area narrowly missed the run of Scott Jones who was eagerly awaiting a tap-in.
Former Wales under-17s man Joe McNulty headed an effort just over the Ton bar after the half-time break.
The Blues found themselves a goal ahead on 72 minutes when a fabulouse cross into Cortez Belle saw him head home with ease.
Belle made it 2-0 three minutes later by beating the away defence and slotting a cool effort past Stephen Hall from 15-yards.
