With the Welsh Football League season only a matter of weeks away from commencing, Port Talbot Town manager Mark Pike has been busy recruiting for the first season both on and off the field.
Former Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle and Northampton Town forward Morrys Scott will be joining Mark in the dugout for another season and is already a familiar face to Blues’ supporters for his work at Port Talbot Town in previous seasons.
In addition to Mo, David Morgan has been added to Pike’s backroom staff. Like Scott, Morgan is no stranger to the Blues’ and worked along side Pike for 15 years at various youth levels throughout the football club.
As a result, many talented local youngsters have come through the academy setup that play throughout the Welsh Football League including Port Talbot Town.
Morgan played a pivotal role in Pike’s youth set up finishing second in two consecutive seasons and produced silverware for the club when they lead our side to the youth cup final winning it in 2013.
In more recent times Morgan has been involved at Trefelin BGC working along side the senior team which picked up the Welsh League Cup last season.
Port Talbot Town are delighted that both Morrys Scott and David Morgan will be working with Mark Pike for the 2018/19 season and no doubt can rely on the supporters to get behind both Mo and David as we all move forward together as a football club.
