Cortez Belle’s Blues succumbed to a 3-0 defeat away to league leader Penybont on Saturday afternoon.
A good performance from a young Port Talbot squad saw them enter the half-time goalless. An added sense of urgency from Penybont in the second-half saw them seal what was in the end a comfortable win for a Bont side that have their sights set on the promotion to the Welsh Premier League come the end of the season.
A tame first-half from both sides saw the half-time break arrive with very little action of note to talk about. The home side had a few minor chances on goal but nothing particularly threatening, it was a similar story for the Blues, who had only come close with a Cortez Belle shot from just outside the area.
Penybont broke the deadlock after the break, with a shot on the Blues goal provoking a good save from Rory McCreesh, Marcus Griffiths was there to score on the rebound however.
Warlow made it 2-0 for the home side ten minutes later with a tap-in at the near post.
It was 3-0 in the 84th minute when a neatly placed ball to Griffiths saw him strike home.
Port Talbot XI: Rory McCreesh; Jay Williams, Kieran Miller, Chris Keane, Rhys Owen, Lewis Holmes (c); Patrick Finneral, Craig Jones, Cortez Belle, Joe McNulty, Morgan Thomas.
