Port Talbot Town compete in Welsh Football League Division One, the second-tier of Welsh football.
Up until the 2016/2017 season, the first-team played in the top-flight of Welsh football, the Welsh Premier League. The club was relegated to Division One following a failure to be awarded a FAW Domestic License, with the club being rejected based on failing to achieve criteria. The club had been members of the Welsh Premier League since 2000 and aim on bouncing back to the top-flight as soon as possible.
The first-team’s biggest achievements of late was their 3rd place finish in the 2009/2010, earning them a spot in the Europa League qualification – which saw them bow out at the First Qualifying Round against Finnish outfit FC Turku with a 1-6 aggregate score.
Then managed by Mark Jones, the Blues also made the FAW Welsh Cup final for the first time in their history in the 2009/2010 season, narrowly bowing out to Bangor City in extra-time.
The Port Talbot Town first-team play their games at the Victoria Road Stadium, Port Talbot.
