Port Talbot Town Football Club have the great honour of hosting the second fixture of the Lenny Johnrose Trust charity football match taking place this Sunday (January 20th KO – 1:30pm) at Victoria Road.
Johnrose, who played for the likes of Bury, Blackburn, Burnley, Hartlepool and notably in this region of South Wales, Swansea City was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2017.
With the previous game taking place in Burnley, a return fixture has been arranged to raise awareness about MND and to raise money for the Lenny Johnrose Trust.
Confirmed for the Swans XI lineup are Leon Britton, Kris O’Leary, Ferrie Bodde, Lee Trundle, Andy Robinson, John Williams, Michael Howard, Andrew Mumford, Tom Butler and Owain Tudur Jones with plenty more set to feature will take on a Lenny Johnrose Trust XI.
Tickets on the day are £5 with all proceeds going to the Lenny Johnrose Trust fund and includes your access to the game on the day in addition to live entertainment in the evening provided by Elphies Kingdom and an auction that will follow the match itself in the SoccerClub. Items for this auction include various football memorabilia and a signed Tony Bellew boxing glove!
