Hayley Williams appointed as Ladies first-team manager

Port Talbot Town Ladies have appointed Hayley Williams as their permanent first-team manager. Hayley took over the role as caretaker manager following the departure of Jason Rees, who left due to committment issues.

After receiving interest from a number of interested parties, the Ladies section has decided that at this point in the season, the right thing to do is to remain with Hayley in charge as head coach.

A found player and former captain of the Port Talbot Town Ladies, Hayley has been a mainstay in the Ladies setup for a number of years.

Prior to her time at Port Talbot, Hayley played for Trefelin, Afan Lido, Neath and Margam. Originally a centre-half, she’s got a wealth of experience in the Welsh Premier Women’s League and is known for slotting in the occassional 40-yarder.

The Women are back in Welsh Premier action on Sunday afternoon when they visit Rhyl FC for a 2pm kick off.
